We love our hometown race, the Detroit Free Press Marathon, Half and 5K

Here are some of the things we do to celebrate:

Race Day VIP Area:

Spend $140 on in-stock Saucony shoes, apparel or accessories at RUNdetroit between August 25 and Oct 20 2018 (2019 dates TBDand you'll get an all access pass to our Saucony sponsored VIP area located just 1 block from the Free Press Int'l Marathon/Half Marathon starting line. Our VIP area has private port-a-potties, gear check, a warming tent and post-race food.
$140 purchase must be made in one transaction, in-store purchases only, space is limited to 150 participants


Training Runs:

August/September 2019 - 6th annual 18 mile course preview group run. This run will give you a great preview of mile 10-26 + mile 1 & 2 of the Freep course.

Weekly Saturday Group Runs!
Every Saturday 8am. The group meets at the RUNdetroit store and you can choose to run 3, 6 or 10 miles. We leave promptly at 8am so get here early. There is plenty of free parking in the neighborhood. All paces are welcome!

2019 Schedule TBD - Every Wednesday 5:45pm at the Wayne State University Track (Adams field) from April to Oct 17, 2018. Whether you’re training for a time or just to finish your event, track workouts can give anyone an advantage. We’ll explain the workout when you arrive and suggest an interval pace based on your goal race pace.


Beginner's Half Marathon Training Group:

Join us in April and we'll take you from you first 5K to the finish line of the Detroit Free Press Marathon. Our 5K session starts in April, the 10K session starts in June and the Half Marathon training in August. Join our email list or follow us on Facebook to stay in the loop.
