Global Running Day Scavenger Hunt 2025

Join RUNdetroit as we celebrate Global Running Day with a FREE fun run scavenger hunt!

Teams of 2-6 people will have 75 minutes to decipher clues and visit as many of our locations of interest as possible.  We'll use Instagram and our special event hashtag to track your progress and award points. Plan to run 3-7 miles depending on how many locations you want to visit.  Check out #finddetroit for previous years' fun.

The hunt begins at RUNdetroit in Eastern Market and finishes at a secret location (just a few blocks from where you started) where you can enjoy a beer while waiting for the other teams to finish (so bring your wallet!). Winners will receive bragging rights and some swag from RUNdetroit and our friends.

Each individual participant needs to register for this event. Teams must participate together; you cannot divide and conquer. Water will not be provided. If you'll need water during the hunt plan on carrying your own. Cell phone, GPS use, and Phone a Friend is allowed and encouraged. You must run or walk to the various locations (no bikes, QLine, Uber, rollerblades, Birds, etc.).

What are my parking options at RUNdetroit?  Our new location has a big, free parking lot on Division Street!

How do I register my team? Have everyone on your team register individually on this site. We don't need to know who is on which team. Maximum of 6 people per team.

Do I have to pre-register? Yes! You can register online up until 4pm the day of the event.

What's the bathroom situation?  Guess what, y'all?  The new store has so much more bathroom capacity!  We've got men's AND women's bathrooms and ~three stalls per bathroom!  But we're still starting promptly at 6 pm, so plan accordingly.

Is there Gear Check? Yes, you can leave a bag at RUNdetroit and we'll get it to the finish location.
